Class # 01 registration CLOSED

"Bridging the Gap" Training for Medical Interpreters
January 30 - February 27 (5 consecutive Saturdays, 8:30am-5:00pm 40 hrs total)
Cost: $220.00 - if registration is received 30 days prior to start of class, $240.00 within 30 days.  Add $20.00 for late registration*

March 20 (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 8 hours total)

Practical Training for Legal/Court Interpreting (for beginners)
March 21 (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 8 hours total)

Business Success Basics for Freelance Interpreters
April 17 (9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, 4 hours total)
Cost: $25.00 - if registration is received 30 days prior to start of class, $30.00 within 30 days.  Add $15.00 for late registration*

Basic Training for Translators
Prerequisite: Ability to read and write at least one language other than English.
April 24 (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 8 hours total)
Cost: $50.00 - if registration is received 30 days prior to start of class, $55.00 within 30 days.  Add $5.00 for late registration*

May 7, 8, 9, 21, 22 and 23 (Fridays, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM; Saturdays and Sundays 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 hours total)

Basic Training for Translators
Prerequisite: Ability to read and write at least one language other than English.
October 16 (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 8 hours total)

Class #11

Business Success Basics for Freelance Interpreters
October 23 (9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, 4 hours total)
Cost: $25.00 - if registration is received 30 days prior to start of class, $30.00 within 30 days.  Add $15.00 for late registration*

Class #12

"Bridging the Gap" Training for Medical Interpreters
November 5, 6, 7, 12, 13 and 14 (Fridays, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM; Saturdays and Sundays 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 hours total)
Cost: $220.00 - if registration is received 30 days prior to start of class, $240.00 within 30 days.  Add $20.00 for late registration*

Class #13

Advanced Training (Level 1) for Medical Interpreters
Prerequisite: Successful completion of the "Bridging the Gap" training
December 4 and 5 (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 16 hours total)
Cost: $100.00 - if registration is received 30 days prior to start of class, $110.00 within 30 days.  Add $10.00 for late registration*

*Late Registration - The deadline for all registrations is two weeks prior to the beginning of each class.  For registrations received within two weeks to the start of class, the stated late fee will be assessed.

Catholic Charities, 2911 South 4th Street, Room #004, Louisville, KY 40208  Please use the back door of the building.

Payment

The payment must be received at the time of registration. Your class placement is not guaranteed until the payment has been received. Make check or money order payable to Catholic Charities of Louisville, and send it to 2911 South 4th Street, Louisville, KY 40208, attention: Aida Juric. To pay with your credit card, please call 502-636-9263 ext. 120 to provide the necessary information over the telephone. If you wish to pay in cash, we will gladly accept it at our offices and urge you not to send money via the United States Postal Service.

Cancellation

If cancellation is received within seven days prior to the beginning of the class, full registration minus a $20.00 processing fee will be refunded. If cancellation is received with more than seven days notice, the registration will be applied to the next available training date.

Catholic Charities reserves the right to cancel any training class at any time. A full refund will be provided in the event of a cancellation.

Other Information

Register early.  Class space is limited.
Prerequisite for all classes:   To be proficient in at least one language other than English.
Language screening may be required.  If this is applicable, you will be notified.
